I had the Ertl procedure as a revision surgery three years ago. Until I had the Ertl procedure, I was unable to walk without pain. Since I have had the surgery, I am able to end load in my prosthesis and do all activities without pain. I have met many other people who experienced similar results with the Ertl procedure. I have found that it is much easier to get a prosthesis that fits comfortably with the Ertl procedure.
